About EC Music...

In Early Childhood Music, we use a variety of activities from numerous sources to help students explore music at their level.  We sing, move creatively to music, play instruments, listen both generally and for specific musical features, learn to read and write various forms of music notation, and create our own music.  Other tools like pictures, puppets, books, and the interactive SmartBoard expand our expression and help our understanding to develop.

The "Sing With Me" links will take you to lyrics of songs you can sing with your children.  Your child will love hearing you sing or singing with you no matter how your voice sounds.

The link for "Cretaceous Kansas" takes you to a presentation of a piece the Upper School Concert Band allowed me to write for them.  It is a musical depiction of our area 65 million years ago.  The music starts on the third slide.

Thank you for the precious opportunity to make musical discoveries together with your child.  You are always welcome to visit the music classroom.
